Medical Billing Expert

Job Description: We are seeking a Medical Billing Expert to join our Lahore office to manage end-to-end medical billing operations, ensure accurate claim submission, optimize revenue recovery, and maintain compliance with billing policies and regulations. The role reports to the Head of Revenue Cycle and works closely with coding, collections, and client accounts teams.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing & Insurance Specialist with hands-on experience in healthcare billing, insurance verification, and claims management. The ideal candidate must be proficient in billing software, EHR systems, and insurance workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage authorizations and pre-certifications for healthcare services (including PIP auto insurance).
• Perform insurance verification and benefits eligibility checks.
• Handle claims submission, tracking, and follow-ups via online portals.
• Conduct denial management and resolution of rejected claims; prepare appeals and claim corrections.
• Execute payment posting and account reconciliation.
• Coordinate with medical coders to ensure coding accuracy (ICD, CPT, HCPCS or local equivalents).
• Communicate with clients, payers, collections, and internal teams to resolve billing issues and provide status updates.
• Prepare billing reports and assist with revenue cycle optimization initiatives.

Job Specification: Must-have:

• Proven experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management for healthcare providers (minimum 3 years).
• Hands-on claim submission and follow-up.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility checks, pre-authorizations, and payer-specific requirements relevant to Pakistan.
• Experience with denial management, appeals, claim corrections, and re-submissions.
• Familiarity with medical coding concepts (ICD, CPT, HCPCS or local coding equivalents) and ability to coordinate with coders.
• Proficiency in billing software, EHR systems, and MS Excel for reconciliation, payment posting, and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Clear communication skills for client-facing coordination and internal collaboration.

Preferred:

• Certification in medical billing/coding.
