Overview:

Typhoon Solar Energy is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to grow commercial and industrial solar business across Pakistan. The role combines technical expertise with consultative sales to secure projects, support installations, and ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify commercial and industrial leads; develop pipeline and manage sales opportunities from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Conduct technical site assessments and perform site surveys; read civil/structural drawings and prepare system layouts, preliminary designs, and feasibility recommendations aligned with civil and structural requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, cost estimates, ROI/payback analyses, and technical specifications to clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and installation teams to ensure project deliverables, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, troubleshooting guidance, and commissioning assistance during projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Travel to client sites across Pakistan as required.
Job Specification: Must have:

  • Background in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent technical diploma.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in solar sales or EPC projects.
  • Proven ability to perform site surveys and read civil/structural drawings.
  • Strong understanding of solar PV components (modules, inverters, mounting, BOS) and grid-interconnection basics.
  • Experience preparing commercial proposals, financial models, ROI and payback calculations.
  • Client-facing presentation and technical negotiation skills; experience closing B2B contracts.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, standards, and permitting in Pakistan.
  • Competent with CAD or PV design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar) and MS Office; CRM experience preferred.
  • Excellent English and Urdu communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in PV design or sales.
