Equipment rental company in Dammam seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Rental Manager to lead rental operations across Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on maximizing fleet utilization, ensuring safe and reliable equipment availability, and delivering excellent client service to construction, infrastructure, and industrial customers. The manager will report to senior operations leadership and collaborate with maintenance, sales, and logistics teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute rental strategies to improve utilization, revenue, and fleet turnover while aligning with commercial objectives.
- Manage day-to-day rental operations including equipment allocation, scheduling, dispatch, and contract administration for projects in Dammam and other assigned regions.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules with the service team to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ensure all rental equipment meets safety, inspection, and regulatory requirements; enforce rigorous pre-rental checks and post-rental reporting.
- Negotiate rental contracts, pricing, and terms with clients; coordinate with finance and legal as needed.
- Implement and maintain rental management systems and asset-tracking processes; prepare reports and KPIs.
- Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and safety culture for field and depot staff.
- Monitor utilization, revenue, cost-per-hour, and maintenance metrics and produce actionable recommendations.
- Support business growth by liaising with sales and operations to meet customer requirements and expand rental services.
- Must-have: Valid transferable Iqama in KSA.
- Proven experience managing heavy equipment rental operations, fleet management, or construction equipment services (min 5 years).
- Practical knowledge of excavators, loaders, cranes, graders, and other construction equipment; basic mechanical and inspection competencies.
- Competence with rental management systems, asset tracking, and MS Office (Excel for reporting and KPI analysis).
- Strong negotiation skills for contract terms, pricing, and client agreements; experience coordinating with finance and legal teams.
- Operational planning skills: scheduling, dispatch coordination, preventive maintenance planning, and downtime minimization.
- Leadership and people management: hiring, training, performance management, and maintaining safety culture.
- Analytical skills to interpret utilization, revenue, cost-per-hour, and maintenance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to liaise with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with local regulations, workplace safety standards, and equipment inspection protocols in Saudi Arabia.
