Wind Construction Project Manager

Job Description: Role overview:

Lead delivery of a wind farm project by planning, organizing, and directing project execution to ensure timely, on-budget delivery within scope while enforcing HSSE standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead project initiation: develop and maintain the project execution plan, schedule, and budget; coordinate scope definition and baselines with stakeholders.
• Procurement and contracts: manage procurement and contractor selection activities; oversee contracts, subcontracts, and change management processes.
• Construction management: direct on-site construction; supervise civil, electrical, mechanical, and turbine installation works; enforce quality control and commissioning readiness.
• Project controls: track progress, risks, cost forecasts, and implement corrective actions to meet schedule and budget targets.
• Team coordination: coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, HSSE, commercial, and local stakeholders; chair regular progress meetings and report to senior management.
• HSSE and compliance: implement and champion HSSE systems and contractor safety assurance.

Job Specification: Must-have:

• Proven track record managing EPC construction for wind farms or large renewable projects, including schedule, cost, and scope control.
• Strong knowledge of turbine installation, civil works, electrical balance of plant, and commissioning processes.
• Contract management skills including procurement strategy, tender evaluation, and change order control.
• HSSE leadership: experience implementing safety management systems and conducting contractor safety assurance.
• Stakeholder management and communication; ability to present status and risks to senior leadership.
• Problem-solving and risk mitigation: anticipate issues, develop contingency plans, and drive corrective actions.
• Fluent English; ability to collaborate with international and local teams.

Preferred:

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
