UK Accounts Specialist

Overview:

ARKIT Services Pvt Ltd is a UK- and Pakistan-based digital transformation and software company. The UK Accounts Specialist will join the Finance team to manage UK client billing, ensure compliance with UK invoicing and VAT rules, reconcile UK receivables, and act as the primary finance contact for UK-based customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for UK clients in accordance with contractual terms and UK tax requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable for UK customers: monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on collections, and apply receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements, client accounts, and intercompany transactions related to UK operations.
• Ensure correct application of VAT rules, including reverse charge where applicable, and maintain supporting documentation for audits.
• Coordinate with project managers and delivery teams on billing and revenue recognition.

Job Specification:

• Must-have: Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Must-have: Knowledge of UK accounting practices and VAT rules (including reverse charge)
• Must-have: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must-have: High attention to detail and accuracy
• Preferred: Part-qualified ACCA or Qualified ACCA
