MEP Draftsman

Job Description: We seek an experienced MEP Draftsman to join our Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing team to produce coordinated construction drawings, support design documentation, and ensure compliance with local codes and project specifications. The role is office-based in Lahore and reports to the MEP Design Lead. Candidates will work on medium to large-scale projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced consultancy environment, offering professional development and exposure across commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed MEP CAD drawings (plans, sections, elevations, schematics) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using company standards and project templates.
• Produce HVAC ducting and piping layouts, equipment schedules, and panel/lighting layouts coordinated with architectural and structural disciplines.
• Create isometrics, riser diagrams, schematics, and annotated shop drawings for contractors and fabricators.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure constructability.
• Incorporate engineer mark-ups and design calculations into construction drawings; follow revision control and file management procedures.
• Maintain drafting standards: correct dimensions, annotations, layer management, and title block usage.
• Respond to design queries from site teams and contractors in a timely manner.

Job Specification:

• Must-have: Proven ability producing detailed 2D CAD drawings (AutoCAD) for MEP systems including layouts, sections, and schematics.
• HVAC: Duct layouts, equipment coordination, basic load/airflow awareness.
• Plumbing: Piping layouts, risers, fixture coordination, slope considerations, isometrics.
• Electrical: Lighting plans, power layouts, distribution panels, conduit/routing coordination.
• Coordination: Drawing coordination, clash-avoidance methods, revision control, BIM/coordination workflows.
• Software (preferred): Revit, Navisworks.
• Other: Strong attention to drafting standards, layer management, title blocks; ability to interpret sketches and engineer mark-ups; good communication skills.
