Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch trucks for timely pickups and deliveries
- Communicate with drivers via phone, WhatsApp, or dispatch software
- Track loads and update ETAs to customers and brokers in real-time
- Maintain accurate records of dispatching activities and trip reports
- Coordinate with shippers, brokers, and clients to avoid delays
- Resolve driver issues, delays, or emergencies professionally
- Ensure operations comply with transportation laws and safety guidelines
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year in truck/freight dispatching
- Communication: Clear spoken and written English
- Dispatching Knowledge: Scheduling loads, routing trucks, managing freight logistics
- Load Boards: Familiarity with DAT, TruckStop or local load boards (preferred)
- Tools: Google Sheets, Excel, email, WhatsApp, GPS tracking, dispatch software
- Time Management: Handle multiple loads and meet tight deadlines
- Problem Solving: Resolve delays, route changes, and emergencies
- Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate records and track deliveries
- Regulations: Basic understanding of safety rules and Hours of Service (HOS)
- Shift: Willingness to work night shifts when required
