Role Summary
The Truck Dispatcher coordinates and optimizes freight movement to ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch trucks for shipments based on customer requirements.
- Monitor transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain communication with drivers, clients, and vendors.
- Resolve issues or delays that arise during transportation.
- Keep accurate records of dispatched shipments, routes, and driver performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve service delivery and efficiency.
- Minimum 2 years logistics/dispatch experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-solving skills and quick decision-making.
- Knowledge of local and regional transportation regulations.
