Job Description: About the role

Young Learners Incubation delivers a STEAM education program for children aged 513 in Lahore. The Teacher / Assistant Teacher will deliver age-appropriate STEAM lessons, run experiments safely, and support a positive classroom culture aligned with the curriculum and learning outcomes. Internships available for final-year university students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive STEAM lessons for groups of children (513) using project-based and inquiry-led approaches.
• Prepare materials and set up experiments and hands-on activities, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and adapt activities for varying ability levels.
• Manage classroom behaviour, maintain clear routines, and foster curiosity, collaboration and a growth mindset.
• Assess student progress through observations, informal assessments and portfolio work; provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with program coordinators to refine lesson plans and report on student progress.

Job Specification: Must-have skills and experience

• Experience teaching children aged 513 (or relevant practicum/ internship experience).
• Familiarity with STEAM, science experiments, or project-based learning.
• Strong classroom management and child-safeguarding awareness.
• Lesson planning and ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-ability groups.
• Basic assessment skills: observation, formative feedback, and portfolio documentation.
• Good verbal communication for explaining concepts to children and communicating with parents.
• Organizational skills for preparing materials, managing time during sessions, and maintaining records.

Preferred

• Certifications in early childhood or elementary education.
• Experience with hands-on STEAM activities and safety protocols.
