System Engineer

Job Description: Job Title: System Engineer (IT Infrastructure & Network Security)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (On-site)

Type: Full-Time, Morning Shift

Overview:

• Hands-on role supporting IT infrastructure operations and network security for a client environment in Dubai.
• Primary technical resource responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage and support Microsoft Exchange 2016 on-premises: mailbox administration, mail flow troubleshooting, connectors, and availability.
• Administer Hyper-V virtualisation: VM provisioning, snapshots, clustering concepts, resource management, and performance optimisation.
• Monitor network infrastructure 24/7 using NOC tools (PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar).
• Support and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Implement and manage endpoint security solutions (preferably CrowdStrike Falcon).
• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate with stakeholders; work independently on site.
• Adhere to policies and controls required in regulated environments (banking/financial services) where applicable.

Job Specification: Must-have:

• 3 to 7 years hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or network engineering.
• Strong expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange 2016.
• Hyper-V virtualisation experience: VM management, clustering concepts, performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless.
• Experience with NOC monitoring tools such as PRTG or SolarWinds.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security platforms, preferably CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Experience configuring/managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS.
• Experience in banking/financial services or regulated environments is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work independently on site.
