Specialist Consultant Dermatologist

Job Description: Location: Al Rahba, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

Provide clinical dermatology services, perform dermatologic procedures, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, skin infections, pigmentation disorders, and other dermatological conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and arrange appropriate follow-up care.
• Perform dermatology procedures where applicable (punch and excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, intralesional injections, electrosurgery, wound care).
• Interpret dermatopathology reports and correlate with clinical findings.
• Manage systemic dermatologic therapies including retinoids, immunosuppressants, biologics, and phototherapy.
• Educate patients on skincare and preventive dermatology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate, compliant electronic medical records.

Job Specification:

• Medical Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical degree plus postgraduate diploma/MD/FCPS in Dermatology or equivalent specialist certification.
• Licensing: Valid medical registration in the practicing country or eligibility to obtain UAE licensing (DOH/DHA/MOH); DOH-recognized Specialist/Consultant Dermatology qualification or eligibility for DOH licensing.
• Experience: Minimum ~3 years clinical experience diagnosing and managing a broad range of dermatologic disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Procedural Skills: Competence in punch and excisional biopsy, electrosurgery, cryotherapy, intralesional injections, and wound care.
• Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with dermatopathology, systemic dermatologic therapies (retinoids, immunosuppressants, biologics, phototherapy).
• Clinical Systems: Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work with electronic medical record systems.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills for patient consultations, multidisciplinary coordination, and teaching.
• Other: Ability to work in multicultural clinical environments; commitment to continuing medical education and guideline-driven care.
