- Clean, organize, and manage the books across all Rafiki Group entities.
- Progressively implement accounting software: start manually, then QuickBooks for the main operation, and Odoo for Haven Food Court.
- Track camp costs and manage supplier payments.
- Produce monthly financial reports and hand off routine tasks to a bookkeeper.
Key Responsibilities (first months)
- Month 1: conduct a forensic audit of existing books; reconcile income and expenses across Rafiki Hostels, Haven, and Smash; build a clean chart of accounts.
- Establish and maintain daily cash-in/cash-out tracking for all entities.
- Implement QuickBooks for Rafiki Hostels and integrate with Cloudbeds and Rezdy (work with web developer).
- Implement Odoo for Haven Food Court for inventory, sales, supplier management, and daily reconciliation.
- Manage supplier payments (experience providers, dive centres, surf schools, maintenance).
- Track camp-level financials: per-camp cost sheet vs actual spend and per-camp P&L.
- Produce a monthly financial report for the CEO by the 5th of each month.
- Must have: 5+ years accounting experience.
- Preferred: hospitality, F&B, or multi-entity business experience.
- Comfortable working on messy books; able to start from an unclean baseline.
- Experience implementing or managing QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Odoo experience is a strong plus; willingness to learn acceptable.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and trusted with financial data.
- Based in Agadir, Cairo, or Dahab, or genuinely willing to travel frequently to Dahab.
- Fluent in Arabic; working-level English for reporting.
