You will manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls, coordinate complex medical calendars, and ensure a seamless entry point into the revenue cycle. Your goal is to maximize provider productivity while delivering exceptional patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using various Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems.
- Inbound/Outbound Calling: Handle a high volume of calls professionally, including patient inquiries, appointment reminders, and follow-up for no-shows.
- Data Entry & Verification: Accurately capture patient demographics, insurance information, and reason for visit to ensure clean claim submission.
- Provider Coordination: Manage multiple provider schedules across time zones; ensure protocols for appointment lengths and types are followed.
- Insurance Pre-Verification: Perform basic insurance eligibility checks and communicate requirements to patients as needed.
- 12 years' experience in medical scheduling, healthcare BPO, or clinical front-desk roles.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with a neutral accent and professional phone demeanor.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR platforms (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask across multiple software screens while maintaining patient conversations.
- High attention to detail for accurate data entry to prevent billing errors.
