Role Overview

Recruiting a permanent Millwright to join construction projects supporting mining operations. The role involves installation, maintenance and repair of rotating and fixed plant machinery used in mining and construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair rotating and fixed plant machinery (gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, crushers)
• Carry out alignments, dismantling/reassembly, bearing and coupling replacements
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and fault finding
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and work orders
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and lifting equipment safely
• Assist artisans and technicians during installations and shutdowns
• Adhere to safety, lockout/tagout procedures and site-specific permit requirements
• Report completed work and escalate complex faults to supervisors

• Grade 12 and N3 (Fitting/Millwright) or equivalent trade certificate
• Minimum 1 year hands-on millwright/mechanical fitting experience in construction or mining environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use drills, grinders, hoists, torque tools and alignment tools
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and basic welding/fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measurements
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic maintenance records
• Valid driver's license preferred
