Localization Screenwriter / Script Adaptation Specialist

Role Overview:

• Adapt and localize scripts for short Chinese dramas for the Philippine market, ensuring cultural relevance and audience engagement.
• Collaborate with production teams to refine dialogue and narrative elements.
• Conduct research on local trends and audience preferences to inform adaptation and content strategies.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for branded content and e-commerce-driven storytelling.
• Assist with quality assurance of localized scripts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.

• Must-have: Strong proficiency in English and Filipino; excellent writing and editing skills.
• Fluent in Chinese (preferred/required where noted) to support source-language understanding.
• Experience in scriptwriting, especially adaptation and localization for short dramas.
• Deep understanding of Philippine culture, values, slang, and internet trends.
• Ability to optimize dialogue and plot to suit local tastes while preserving original story appeal.
• Knowledge of media production processes and content marketing strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment and respond efficiently to adaptation requests.
• Experience in lighting, art direction, or filming (plus).
