Litigation Attorney

Job Description: Location: Bedfordview (East Rand), Germiston, South Africa

Employment type: Full-Time, On-site, Morning Shift

Overview:

• Attend to civil litigation matters for a law firm including client liaison and court appearances.
• Draft and compile legal documents and pleadings; shortlisted candidates will undergo a drafting test.
• Appear in court; right of appearance in the High Court preferred or willingness to obtain.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree; admitted as an Attorney.
• Minimum 1 year post-admission experience in civil litigation required.
• Professional, meticulous, good business English and well-spoken.
• Computer literate in Caselines and Court Online.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Reside within daily commuting distance of Bedfordview/Germiston.
• Stable employment record and contactable employer references.
• Non-smoker.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Compensation:

• R 15,000 R 20,000 gross per month + incentives.
