Khmer Interpreter

Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia (remote/online) open to native Khmer speakers based in Cambodia; candidates in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia with eligible visas may apply.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Night Shift (remote/work-from-home)

Overview: Deliver real-time audio and video interpretation between native Khmer speakers and English-speaking professionals to support healthcare-related conversations. This is a remote role with regular night-shift hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate KhmerEnglish interpretation in real time via audio and video channels
• Support conversations between clients/patients and English-speaking professionals in a healthcare context
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during calls
• Ensure a stable connection and be prepared for scheduled night-shift work

Requirements:

• Native or fluent Khmer speaker with strong English skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection (speed test required prior to interview)
• Good communication skills
• Available to work night shifts

Preferred:

• Prior interpretation/translation experience, preferably in healthcare
• Relevant certifications (if any) in interpretation or language services

Compensation: RM5,280 - RM5,520 per month (listed as approx. RM5,000++ in the posting)
