Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Legal Cost Consultant to prepare and oppose bills of costs and handle taxations for litigation matters. The role requires independent functioning within a law firm or cost consulting firm and immediate availability.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft cost accounts for legal litigation matters
- Draft, present and oppose bills of costs (party & party, attorney & client, attorney and own client)
- Attend to taxations and oppose taxations
- Prepare and calculate legal fees and settlements of bills of costs
Other requirements:
- Presentable and professional
- Driver's licence and own vehicle
- Reside in Pretoria
- Stable employment record and contactable references
- LLB Degree
- Admitted as an Attorney with right of appearance
- Minimum 2 years recent experience drafting cost accounts for litigation matters at a law firm or cost consulting firm
- Experience in taxation and opposing bills of costs
- Fully independently functional not a training opportunity
- Driver's licence and own vehicle
- Reside in Pretoria
