Insurance Graduate

Job Description: Ornamental HR Solutions, a Lagos-based human resources consultancy, is seeking an Insurance Graduate to support corporate clients across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support benefits programs: assist in administration of group life, health, and employee welfare schemes; coordinate with insurers and provide enrollment support.
• Client servicing: participate in client meetings, prepare briefings, and follow up on policy changes, claims processing, and renewals.
• Policy analysis: review insurance plan documents; summarize terms, exclusions, and premium structures for HR teams and clients.
• Claims support: assist employees and clients with claims submissions, documentation tracking, and status updates.
• Data and reporting: maintain benefits databases; prepare monthly reports on enrollment and utilization.

Job Specification: Must-have skills & experience:

• Knowledge of basic insurance concepts (life, health, group benefits) and familiarity with policy terms and exclusions.
• Proficiency with MS Excel for tracking enrollments, creating pivot tables, and simple data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication to prepare client briefs and support employee queries.
• Customer-service orientation with experience handling inquiries and following up on claims or policy issues.
• Organizational skills: ability to maintain accurate records, manage documentation, and meet reporting deadlines.
• Analytical mindset to summarize policy features and spot discrepancies in claims or billing.
• Teamwork: experience working with cross-functional teams, consultants, or external vendors (insurers, brokers).
• Confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee and client data.
• Willingness to learn the regulatory environment for insurance in Nigeria and apply best practices in benefits administration.
