Independent Working Chef

Job Description: Xin Chao is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with locations in Wageningen and Utrecht. We serve traditional Vietnamese dishes using family recipes and fresh herbs and spices. The Independent Working Chef safeguards the quality and authenticity of dishes and combines tradition with modern presentation.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients and assess product quality
• Apply basic cooking techniques to prepare and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Carry out preparatory work (cutting, mixing, etc.) and intermediate quality checks
• Manage inventory and ordering
• Keep the kitchen and equipment clean and hygienic
• Provide professional supervision in the kitchen

Job Specification:

• MBO level 3 working and thinking level
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Good communication skills in English or Dutch

• Offered: Salary according to hospitality collective labor agreement 2,5503,050 (depending on experience)
