Role overview:
Experienced International Sourcing and Supplier Development Manager responsible for sourcing APIs, finished pharmaceutical products, excipients, and packaging materials from global markets. Lead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and performance monitoring to build reliable international supply chains that meet commercial, quality and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate and develop international suppliers and manufacturers for APIs, finished products, excipients, and packaging materials.
- Source products aligned with the company’s commercial strategy and portfolio objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, payment terms, and supply agreements with overseas suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international manufacturers, exporters and distributors to secure competitive and reliable supply.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure sourced products comply with DRAP and applicable international regulatory requirements.
- Perform market intelligence and analyze global pharmaceutical trends, supplier capabilities, pricing and new sourcing opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, reliability, compliance and delivery timelines.
- Must-have: Proven experience sourcing APIs, finished pharmaceutical products, excipients or packaging materials from international suppliers.
- Must-have: Strong negotiation skills for pricing, MOQs, lead times and contract terms.
- Must-have: Knowledge of global pharmaceutical supply chains and supplier qualification processes.
- Must-have: Familiarity with DRAP requirements and international regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical imports.
- Must-have: Ability to perform market intelligence, supplier benchmarking and risk assessment.
- Must-have: Excellent communication and relationship management skills for dealing with overseas manufacturers and distributors.
- Must-have: Commercial acumen to align sourcing with business strategy and cost targets.
