Impala Platinum Mine (Construction) Rustenburg is recruiting permanent General Workers to support site operations, material handling and basic maintenance across multiple trades and support roles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist tradespeople (electricians, welders, fitters) with tasks on site
- Load, unload and move materials and equipment
- Site cleaning, waste removal and maintaining safe work areas
- Operate basic tools and light machinery under supervision
- Prepare and set up site for daily activities
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents
- Assist with basic maintenance and repairs as directed
- Complete simple site records and communicate with supervisors
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in construction or general labour
- Able to follow instructions and work both in a team and independently
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry and stand for long periods
- Basic tool handling and manual skills
- Good punctuality, reliability and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of and commitment to safety rules and PPE usage
- Basic communication skills; basic computer literacy preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
