Financial Virtual Assistant

Start Date: Immediately

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST

Holidays: U.S. holidays

Work mode: Remote / Online (Cedar Knolls, United States)

Salary: $1,400 - $1,500 per month

Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping and basic accounting workflows including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR processing.
• Use accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and spreadsheets to maintain accurate records.
• Prepare clear financial summaries, perform variance analysis, and present key metrics to non-accounting stakeholders.
• Support month-end close tasks and basic cash management, invoicing, and vendor payment processes.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and due diligence.
• Communicate with vendors, portfolio companies, and internal stakeholders as needed.
• Work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines while safeguarding confidential financial information.

• 2+ years hands-on accounting/bookkeeping or finance support experience.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software: QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
• Bookkeeping tasks: reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR processing, month-end close basics.
• Ability to prepare financial summaries and perform variance analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication for vendor follow-up and stakeholder coordination.
• Attention to detail, organization, and discretion handling confidential information.

• QuickBooks Certified or bookkeeping certificate.
• Experience supporting portfolio companies or working with investor/finance teams.
