Field Services Technician

Role overview

Onsite Field Services Technicians are permanently assigned to corporate locations to provide end-user IT technical support and hands-on assistance as part of managed services operations. They ensure timely, reliable support for hardware, network connectivity, and infrastructure issues requiring in-person or advanced remote assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Physical setup and configuration of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and office equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repair of hardware issues, including component replacements (hard drives, memory, monitors).
• Scheduled preventive maintenance, cleaning, and updates to reduce equipment failure risk.
• Manage device refresh cycles: deploy new equipment and retrieve decommissioned devices.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks for hardware and software.
• Provide professional customer interaction, clear communication, and maintain service records in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Travel to customer sites as required and work on rotation shift schedule.

• Proficiency in hardware setup and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products.
• Experience with IT Service Management processes and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Recommended certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, ITIL Foundation.
