Location: Ilorin, Nigeria (on-site) role collaborates with teams focused on the UK market

Overview:

  • Lead commercial planning and execution for international expansion into the UK market.
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, marketing, operations, and e-commerce to drive revenue growth and brand presence.
  • Combine creative product insight with data-driven commercial strategy to deliver products and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business strategies for the UK market including assortment planning, pricing, and channel mix.
  • Own sales forecasting, budget planning, monthly performance reporting, set KPIs and monitor progress.
  • Coordinate with design and merchandising to align product offerings with market trends and customer preferences.
  • Manage supplier, logistics and retail/distribution partner relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
  • Lead go-to-market initiatives with marketing and e-commerce teams; oversee promotional planning and campaign performance.
  • Analyze market data, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform product and commercial decisions.
  • Plan and manage product launch activities and timelines; deliver against launch goals.
Job Specification:
  • Experience: 5+ years in fashion retail, merchandising, commercial management, or brand expansion with measurable results in revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Commercial skills: forecasting, pricing strategy, P&L ownership, KPI-driven management.
  • International experience: experience with international market entry or managing cross-border retail channels, preferably UK/Europe.
  • Analytical skills: sales data analysis, inventory metrics, customer insights.
  • Vendor & sourcing: negotiation, vendor-management, logistics coordination, cost control.
  • Leadership & coordination: lead cross-functional teams (design, marketing, operations, e-commerce) and manage stakeholders across locations.
  • Project management: plan launch activities, manage timelines, deliver goals.
  • Communication: strong English; prepare commercial presentations and reports for leadership/partners.
  • Systems: familiarity with retail systems, merchandising tools, or e-commerce analytics platforms is a plus.
