Source: mustakbil.comRole: Permanent on-site Electrician supporting construction and maintenance projects at the Rustenburg site. Ensure safe, compliant electrical installations, troubleshooting and repairs for construction and mining environments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, maintain and repair electrical systems, wiring and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and manuals
- Perform fault finding, testing and isolation using appropriate test equipment
- Terminate cables; install distribution boards, motors, starters and controls
- Carry out planned maintenance, emergency repairs and support shutdowns
- Comply with lockout/tagout and site safety procedures; report incidents
- Keep accurate service records and report to supervisors
- Minimum 1 year practical electrical experience in construction or mining environments
- Strong fault-finding, cable termination and installation skills
- Knowledge of SANS/IEC wiring codes, earthing and isolation procedures
- Familiarity with motor starters, control circuits and basic PLC/instrumentation
- Ability to use multimeter and electrical test equipment safely
Preferred:
- Completed electrical apprenticeship or Trade Test
- Valid driver’s licence
- Basic computer literacy
