Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions and related systems on heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Complete fault-finding and use diagnostic tools
- Keep accurate maintenance records and log repairs
- Assist in breakdown recovery and component rebuilds
- Follow site safety procedures and maintain housekeeping
- Minimum 1 year practical experience on diesel engines/heavy equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics, fuel and electrical systems
- Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals
- Valid driver's licence
- Basic computer literacy
