About the role:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, QS teams, and procurement staff to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs and update estimates as required.
- Assist in tender preparation and proposal submissions.
- Maintain records of estimates and project cost data for future reference.
- Must-have: Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Excel.
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles and project management; ability to perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills; attention to detail.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients; coordinate with stakeholders.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in cost estimation preferred.
