Role Overview

We are seeking a target-oriented Business Development Officer to grow B2B sales for industrial process control instruments and provide calibration, testing, and commissioning services. The role involves lead generation, preparing technical-commercial proposals, handling tenders, managing client relationships, and coordinating field activities with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify leads; convert prospects into customers.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, RFQs, and BOQs.
  • Manage tendering processes and respond to client inquiries professionally.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Maintain relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and plant managers.
  • Visit industrial sites for meetings, surveys, and coordination.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams for installation and commissioning support.
  • Prepare calibration and testing service reports and maintain documentation.
Job Specification: Core Technical & Industry Skills

  • Strong understanding of industrial process control instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature, analytical).
  • Knowledge of calibration, testing, and commissioning services.
  • Familiarity with brands such as Siemens, Endress+Hauser, WIKA, Yokogawa.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, and technical specifications.
  • Awareness of industrial sectors: oil & gas, power plants, chemical, FMCG, water treatment.

Sales & Business Development Skills

  • Proven ability to generate leads and convert them into sales.
  • Experience in B2B industrial sales and tendering processes.
  • Capability to prepare technical and commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to handle RFQs, BOQs, and client inquiries professionally.

Client Handling & Communication

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to liaise with engineers, procurement teams, and plant managers.
  • Strong relationship-building and client retention skills.
  • Capability to explain technical products in simple terms.

Documentation & Tools

  • Experience preparing technical proposals, commercial quotations, and service reports.
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.

Field & Operational

  • Willingness to visit industrial sites; travel required.
