Desirable:
- Collaborate with key product stakeholders to understand processes and identify actions requiring automation.
- Design and implement performant, resilient automation to replace manual process steps.
- Apply security-by-default principles, including secrets management, least privilege, and vulnerability management.
- Monitor and improve process performance, optimizing to meet objectives and provide headroom for unknown scenarios.
- Automate both operational processes and tests for automation to ensure reliable execution.
- Minimum 3 years delivering Ansible-based automation into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting skills: Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and ownership mindset.
- Ability to work independently and in a diverse team.
- Security-focused: secrets management, least privilege, vulnerability management.
Desirable:
- Experience improving IT services underpinned by vendor software.
- Product domain experience: file transfer products (e.g., IBM SFGS/SP, SFTP), mainframe z/OS and job execution workflows, BMC Control-M.
- Understanding of financial services compliance and risk management requirements.
