Auditor

DgTx Tax Consultancy is a joint initiative working on digital taxation across the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The audit professional will help ensure client compliance with local and international tax regulations, identify control weaknesses, and support delivery of assurance and advisory services to corporate clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan, execute, and document audit engagements with focus on tax compliance and control effectiveness.
• Assess tax positions, review filings and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and identify exposures.
• Perform risk-based testing of processes, controls, and reconciliations related to indirect and direct tax obligations.
• Prepare working papers, audit reports, and management letters with observations and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tax, accounting, technology) to gather evidence and validate complex transactions.
• Stay current with UAE tax legislation, VAT rules, and relevant international tax developments; advise clients on implications and compliance actions.

• Practical experience in tax audits, VAT reviews, or tax compliance engagements.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax concepts, and the tax filing lifecycle.
• Proficiency with audit documentation and working papers; ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports.
• Analytical skills to evaluate transactions, reconciliations, and control effectiveness.
• Familiarity with accounting standards and tax-related accounting entries.
• Competence in Excel for analysis; experience with accounting or audit software is an advantage.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and written reports.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time across multiple engagements, and meet deadlines.
• Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
