The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and facilitating the clearance of goods through customs in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities include preparing customs declarations, coordinating with clients, shipping lines, terminals and yards, tracking shipments, making duty and tax payments to avoid demurrage, maintaining accurate records, and preparing daily reports for clients.Job Specification:
- Must-have:
Proven experience as a Custom Clearing Agent or in a similar role
Very good knowledge of PCTs & SROs
Proficiency in using customs software (WEBOC & PSW) and other relevant tools
MS Office, ERP
In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and documentation
Experience preparing Customs Goods Declarations (GD) on online portals
Ability to track shipments and manage payments for duties & taxes to avoid demurrage
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and ability to handle complex documentation
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Preferred:
Experience coordinating with shipping lines, terminals/yards and clients
Experience preparing daily client reports
