AI Automation Developer

Role

You will build and maintain AI-driven automation systems for home-service clients, focusing on conversational AI agents, lead-nurture sequences, and integrations between platforms. Work on Newo.ai to design AI receptionist workflows, missed-call text-back automations, and SMS/email nurture sequences.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI receptionist workflows and missed-call/text-back automations.
• Design and refine prompts for AI agents to handle real customer conversations.
• Create lead nurture sequences (SMS + email) triggered by client actions.
• Integrate Newo.ai agents with external tools via REST APIs (GoHighLevel, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber).
• Implement Jinja2 templating for dynamic messaging and conditional logic.
• Work with event-driven webhooks, triggers, and asynchronous workflows.
• Debug APIs, monitor logs, and follow version control and production deployment practices.
• Produce client-facing documentation and collaborate across teams; ensure at least 4 hours daily overlap with US PDT.

• Minimum 2 years experience in automation development or API integration.
• Strong Python skills; experience writing clean, documented code in VSCode or PyCharm.
• REST APIs & JSON building and consuming integrations.
• Prompt engineering designing and iterating AI agent prompts.
• Jinja2 templating for dynamic content and conditional logic.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (webhooks, triggers, async workflows).
• Experience with GoHighLevel (GHL) or Twilio for automation pipelines.
• API debugging, log monitoring, version control, and production deployment practices.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong English and client-facing documentation skills; US PDT overlap (~4 hours/day).

• Experience with Newo.ai or other conversational AI platforms (training provided).
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber integrations.
