About the Role:
An Accountant to manage financial operations and support business growth. Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, managing banking and petty cash, and supporting procurement for site materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records including vouchers, invoices, and payments
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and prepare invoices
- Handle banking operations and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Perform project closings separately
- Prepare financial statements and maintain fixed asset records
- Monitor budgets and compile financial reports for management
- Communicate with clients and vendors effectively
- Implement process improvements and accounting controls
- Manage petty cash and conduct bank reconciliations
- Ensure data confidentiality and system backups
- Participate in procurement for site materials
- BCom or BS in Accounting & Finance
- 2 to 4 years proven accounting/bookkeeping experience in a construction company
- Proficiency with QuickBooks
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel)
- Experience preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, and managing payables/receivables
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred / Additional:
- Experience with project-specific accounting and fixed asset records
- Experience handling procurement-related accounting
