Factory Manager

Job Description: Position: Factory Manager

Reports to: CEO

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview:

• The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing daily factory operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, safety, and product quality.
• Manage resources, optimize production processes, and lead the factory team to meet company goals and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics operations.
• Develop and implement production plans, scheduling, and shop-floor control to meet targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP, SOPs, and environmental requirements.
• Manage factory budget and optimize operational costs and resource utilization.
• Lead, train, roster, and manage performance of factory staff; handle conflict resolution.
• Monitor production KPIs, prepare reports, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, etc.).
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and vendors to ensure material availability and manage inventory.
• Troubleshoot common manufacturing and equipment issues; liaise with maintenance teams.

Job Specification:

• Proven experience managing factory operations in plastics manufacturing or FMCG production environments.
• Production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor control techniques.
• Quality assurance, process control, and basic statistical tools (e.g., SPC).
• SOP development, GMP, safety protocols, and environmental compliance.
• Staff management: training, rostering, performance management, conflict resolution.
• Inventory management, materials handling, and vendor coordination.
• Practical troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment; coordination with maintenance.
• Analytical skills: monitor KPIs, prepare production reports, implement Lean/5S or similar.
• Communication: coordinate with marketing, procurement, external partners; Urdu and English proficiency preferred.
