Chief Accountant

Company: Arab Tech Trading (Doha) - multi-service operations in cleaning, hospitality, contracting, construction, and F&B import & export.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for contracting projects and multi-service operations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses in compliance with Qatari regulations and IFRS.
• Manage project costing, contract accounting, progress billing, retentions, and variations for construction and renovation projects.
• Lead tax planning, VAT compliance, and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities in Qatar.
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management for business planning, cost control, and profitability enhancement.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team.

• Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) or similar.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience as Chief Accountant, Finance Manager, or Senior Accountant in Qatar; experience in contracting, construction, cleaning, hospitality, or trading (food supply) preferred.
• Proven experience with Qatar PRO procedures, government relations, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of Qatari Commercial Companies Law, tax regulations, and IFRS.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Qatari driving license required.
