Job Description: Job Title: Flour Mill General Manager

Location: Sialkot, Pakistan

Overview

The Flour Mill General Manager will manage mill operations, supervise employees, maintain production efficiency, ensure product quality, oversee hiring and staff development, and manage maintenance and inventory to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management
    Oversee daily mill operations; ensure smooth functioning of production departments; monitor wheat cleaning, grinding, packing, and dispatch; maintain production targets and efficiency; reduce waste and improve productivity; ensure proper machine utilization.

  • Staff & Human Resource Management
    Recruit, supervise, and train mill employees and operators; conduct interviews and evaluations; assign duties and manage schedules; maintain workplace discipline and professional conduct; resolve staff conflicts; monitor attendance and performance; support employee development.

  • Production & Quality Control
    Ensure consistent flour quality standards; monitor raw-material quality and milling output; implement and maintain quality-control procedures; maintain hygiene and food-safety standards.

  • Maintenance & Technical Oversight
    Coordinate preventive maintenance and timely repairs; monitor machine performance and downtime; collaborate with technicians and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Inventory & Supply Chain
    Manage raw-material and finished-goods inventory; coordinate with vendors and suppliers; oversee dispatch and logistics.

  • Cost & Administrative Management
    Monitor operational costs and budgets; implement systems, procedures, and checks and balances; maintain records and prepare operational reports.
Job Specification:
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years' management experience in flour mills, food processing, or manufacturing

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or related field preferred

  • Technical & Operational Skills: Comprehensive understanding of flour-mill operations; knowledge of wheat cleaning, grinding, and flour production; production planning; machine operation coordination; preventive maintenance oversight

  • Quality & Safety: Quality-control and consistency management; workplace hygiene and food-safety or industrial compliance awareness

  • Management & Administrative: Strong leadership and team management; recruitment and supervision; conflict resolution; time management; organizational and administrative management; ability to implement systems and procedures

  • Financial & Analytical: Cost-control and operational budgeting awareness; ability to monitor production efficiency and reduce waste

  • Software & Communication: Computer skills (Excel, reporting, inventory records); strong communication and reporting skills; vendor and supplier coordination; dispatch and logistics understanding

  • Other: Ability to work under pressure; attention to detail; accountability; professional attitude and reliability
