Electrician

Job Description : Company: STB (construction company) Location: Islamabad, Pakistan (on-site) Employment type: Full-Time, Morning Shift Summary: Responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment on residential and commercial construction projects. Reports to site engineer or maintenance supervisor. Must follow safety and local electrical codes. Key responsibilities: Install, connect and commission electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, breakers, conduits, and distribution systems according to drawings and local electrical codes Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and site plans to determine layout and installation requirements Perform routine inspections and testing of systems, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or replacements of components Terminate cables, make connections, and ensure proper grounding and bonding for safety and code compliance Coordinate with site supervisors, other trades and project managers to sequence electrical works and meet project schedules Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and test results Job Specification : Must-have: Minimum 3-5 years practical experience in building construction electrical installation and maintenance Competent with AC and DC systems, single-phase and three-phase distribution, breakers, transformers and motor starters Skilled in conduit bending, cable termination, jointing, and installation of switchboards and distribution panels Proficient reading electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, and site plans Knowledge of local electrical codes, grounding practices, and safety standards (PPE, lockout/tagout) Ability to use electrical test equipment: multimeter, megger/insulation tester, clamp meter, circuit tracers Strong troubleshooting skills for intermittent and wiring faults under time constraints Physical ability to work on ladders, scaffolding and in confined spaces; good hand tools handling Effective communication and teamwork; ability to coordinate with site teams and supervisors
